Asking someone for a date could be a little scary if you don’t
know what you’re doing, because you need to come in with
your best offer and there is a risk of rejection weather your
prepared or not. It is a must to have a plan before you ask
for a date, so that you can present your best offer. If you
have a plan then there should be no fear asking for a date,
because the worst thing that can happen is that someone
says “no” to your dating offer. Hearing the answer “no” really
isn’t bad when you think about the benefits of asking. When
you offer a date to someone you always get better at asking
for dates and you at least have the pleasure of meeting that
special person who turns on your lights! In addition, asking
someone for a date is always flattering when done with
respect. You may agree that it really is a win-win situation
when you ask for a date. Forevermore, remember this
before asking, because it’s important to set your mind
knowing that these reasons are true. All you want to do is
send a message leading someone to know that you are
interested in getting to know them and to find out if they are
interested in you as well. This will build your confidence,
because this mind set makes sense. Be specific about a plan
when asking for a date, but remember to remain flexible
enough to change your offer if you don’t have a mutual
interest. If it turns out there is a mutual interest between the
two of you then try discussing a date leaving a couple of
days to a week of time to plan for it. When obtaining a phone
number you may ask, ” is it okay to give you a call in a few
days? Or do you have a business card?” Even though you
said you would call in a few days it’s OK to call in one day or
as soon as possible to say hello and talk about what is
coming up in the week ahead. If you can’t get through on the
phone never try to set a date using an answering machine.
That way there is no misunderstanding if the other person
cannot make the date you tried to set. When you do get a
chance to talk to each other set up a first date for just two or
three hours. This is enough time to get a feeling if both of
you want to be together again. If you’re setting up the date
pick something that you enjoy and see how it sounds to your
date. A date could be a simple walk. Plan for somewhere
easy to get to and in casual attire. Also, to ease your dates
nerves pick somewhere in a safe public place, and
preferably not with an audience such as friends or family.
That way you allow the time for a possible relationship to
grow, because you can choose whom is the right person
asking you for the date with out interference from an
audience. Most important, set your mind to know that
everyone wants to be asked for a date regardless of the
answer that they may give to you because it’s always felt as
a compliment when people are asked for a date politely.
Finally, if you have a plan to offer someone a date its forever
fun to flirt and is always rewarding when you try asking for a
date.
